Tall Ships - British Yacht Fiona - 1912 Gaff Topsail Cutter

Tall Ships - Fiona built in 1912 in Poole, England, is thought to be one of the oldest unrestored yachts still sailing. Since her launch, she has circumnavigated the globe two and a half times, including voyages around Cape Horn and through the Straits of Magellan. Fiona also retains all the original planking in her hull, decks, deckhouse, plus the original spar. The planking is pitch pine, on oak frames using square cut cast bronze boat nails for her fastenings. She still carries oil running lights, oil binnacle lights, sextant, lead line and taff rail log.
